| Home - Help! My Tutu Skirt is inside out! |
My skirt looks wrong.... |
|
We sometimes get phone calls from our customers, worried that their order is wrong - in particular that their custom-made tutu skirt has been made back-to-front (the layers are in the wrong order). Don't worry! Everything is as it should be, the simple answer is that we make the skirts from the outside in and then pack them still inside out.
Why? Well, we send the tutu skirts to you inside-out so that they help keep their 'bounce' and will stand out from your body as a tutu should. In fact when you come to store your skirt, we recommend again turning it inside out to preserve the 'bounce'.

Step 1 - Turn your skirt the right way round
Take the skirt from the bag and turn it inside out so that the label is the right way round. As you can see the layers (colours and tiers) are in the right order.

|
Step 2 - How to wear the skirt.
Now it may look like the label is going to be on the outside for the world to see! Don't worry that is the 'bounce' of the tutu skirt, giving it that lift, means that the layers of the skirt pull the elastic of the waistband. Simply pull on the skirt, making sure the label is on the inside. This means twisting the elastic a little. This can be confusing the first time, but don't worry.
When you get it right you should see that the skirt is as you imagined with the layers and colours in the arrangement you specified in your order, and the skirt has a nice lift from the way it was sewn and packed.

Step 3 - You're done.
Now you can knock 'em dead in your new tutu skirt!
